Post-Spinal Surgery Pain

It is common for patients to continue to feel pain after their spinal surgery, whether it is a discectomy or a fusion.  I have worked successfully with many post-spinal surgery patients through my career.  Usually the surgical area heals solidly with scar tissue and is quite stable.  But, depending upon the type of surgery, there is often a loss of motion in that surgical area.  This loss of motion causes the surrounding areas to compensate, frequently creating a pain syndrome.  Chiropractic and low level laser can support those surrounding areas, allowing the body to adapt to the surgery more successfully.  Using the drop table and instrument adjusting allows me to gently influence those surrounding areas, without stressing the surgical site.
